People are always asking me where I got this, or what I use on that. Half the time the honest answer is that I learned it from somebody else who is better at it than I am. So here they are — the people whose work taught me something, with full credit where it belongs.

Elias Homestead — where my grass tea came from
My seven-day fermented grass tea is not my invention and I would never claim it. I learned the method from Elias Homestead, whose video “Secrets To a Greener Lawn ALL Summer (EASY DIY) | AMISH Secret” lays out the traditional Amish approach to feeding soil — a way of doing it that has been around for generations, long before anybody called it compost tea or put it in a bottle.
What I did was adapt it to a small DC yard using what I actually had: clippings, weeds, lemon rinds, the plants the rabbits chewed. The principle is theirs. The lemon rinds are mine.

YardBrah — lawn care
YardBrah makes lawn care look easy, which is the hardest thing to do. Sprayers, rollers, treatments — all of it explained like he is standing in the yard next to you. His sprayer and roller videos are the ones that got me, and when my grass was thick and healthy, his products were a big part of why.
I bought his Snake Oil and Neighbor's Envy and used them on my own lawn. They worked. I honestly wish he would come and do my yard for me.
